FLSA Classification: Full time, Non-Exempt – 40 hours per week

Reports to: Corporate Development Director

Salary:  $22.00 per hour + Commissions

JOB DESCRIPTION:  PBS Fort Wayne provides high quality telecommunications services which enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve through educational, informational, cultural and entertaining programs services, seeks a sales professional.

Reporting to the Corporate Development Director, the selected individual with a passion to work in the media industry and be exposed to PBS Fort Wayne production, programming, fundraising, sales development and protocol for both broadcast and digital media.

With a career in sales at PBS Fort Wayne, you will have the opportunity to reach your maximum potential while directly impacting the growth of the station and its clients. As a Corporate Development Account Executive, your primary responsibility will be to generate new business and maintain existing underwriters through great customer service. The ideal candidate is a lead generator and a collaborator who can connect the programs and services of PBS Fort Wayne to prospective clients.

Role Expectations:

  • Meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Initiate sales process by prospecting, scheduling appointments, making presentations, understanding client business needs, developing proposals, and closing sales.
  • Develop aggressive marketing strategies by monitoring competitive products, trends, and client reactions.
  • Build diverse client portfolios by crafting strategic solutions around PBS Fort Wayne’s unique products and services.
  • Actively manage, service, and grow multiple accounts.
  • Deliver consistent value and service that ensures the client considers you a strategic partner and enables PBS Fort Wayne to capture repeat and incremental business.
  • Attendance is required.

 

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

  • 3-5 years sales experience in B2B Sales/Marketing. Media Sales experience is a plus but not required.
  • A strong client service outlook and the ability to represent PBS Fort Wayne with the highest degree of professionalism.
  • A working knowledge of the Fort Wayne metro/northeast Indiana area
  • Knowledge of PCs (Windows programs and spread sheet applications desirable) and standard office equipment.
  • A valid driver’s license and good driving record

  • Clear drug screen and background check is required.
  • This position is Monday – Friday. This position is required to work in the office as well as locally with businesses. Local travel will be required for this position.
  • The employee must be able to sit for several hours and be able to lift up to 25lbs.
