From the launch in July 2019 forecasts to upgrades a short time later including live weather and climatic information and continually updated weather data such as daily extremes, wind gusts and more, we’re proud to bring this public service to our broadcast region.
In addition to new radar views being shown, screens with daily forecasts plus other climatic information will also rotate in throughout the day. Audio for this upgrade continues to be directly brought to you from the National Weather Service regional office in North Webster, Indiana.
When a severe weather watch or warning for the PBS Fort Wayne service area occurs, this service also allows TV screens to focus specifically on the PBS Fort Wayne service region for the duration of those events. In addition, scrolling type at the bottom of the screen will change and provide vital information for viewers as these events occur and evolve.
