Wilderness Skills and Nature Camp – University of Saint Francis
July 10 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm EDT
- $250
Dates: 7/10 – 7/14 (Mon.-Friday) 8AM-3PM each day.
Nurturing both the Earth and the self, the Wilderness Skills and Nature Camp recognizes that many young people are experiencing a disconnect from nature. Major epidemics of our time including obesity, anxiety, screen addiction, and loneliness can be traced back to this disconnect. Taught by Dr. Lou Weber, Professor of Ecology, this camp serves high school students and is intended to improve campers’ relationship with the Earth. Wilderness first aid, shelter building, campfire construction, plant and animal identification, wildlife management and conservation will be some of the skills taught.
Attendees may find that by healing the Earth, they heal themselves.
$250 Tuition. Lunch included.
